An election is being held in Massachusetts to replace Sen. Ted Kennedy, who died last year. The race is close and with the Republican leading. If the Republican candidate wins, the Republicans would have 41 senators and therefore be able to do a filibuster on the health care reform bill.
I want health care reform and know we have been trying for a long time to get it. But I suppose the proposed reform is the wrong way to go about it, not dealing with the costs of health care and punishing people who do not buy health insurance and maybe not including the talked-about public option; most people are against this type of health care reform. So maybe I would not be too disappointed that its progress is undone. I want President Obama and Congress to re-think something better.
On the other hand, I feel this reform is something and would help some.
